Everyone has their own way of saying goodbye to summer and welcoming the fall season with open arms, and for many of us that includes paying a visit to one of our favorite local orchards. Sometimes we may feel a bit bias for being head over heels for these charming locations, so it’s always nice when others recognize how amazing these destinations are. Voted the Best Apple Orchard by readers over at 10Best, this one small town orchard is more than deserving of this accolade and we’ll tell you why.

Known for being one of the best orchards in all of New York, Beak and Skiff Apple Orchard can be found roughly 20-minutes south of Syracuse in the town of Lafayette.

Inside the bake shop you’ll be surrounded by the aroma of all things apple, where you’ll also be able to get a peak at how Beak and Skiff’s fresh cider donuts are made.

And if you’re not taking home a box of their cider donuts, you’ll almost certainly be walking out of there with one of their scrumptious apple pies or homemade apple dumplings.

Aside from the delicious variety of bakery treats that are waiting for you, Beak and Skiff also makes their own 1911 gin and vodka that you can buy and take home with you.
