Cumberland Falls The first DuPont lodge in Cumberland Falls State Park was built in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, but it burned down in 1940. You’ll find the lodge at 7351 Hwy. 90 in Corbin, Kentucky.

The lodge is warm and cozy, with its stone and wood panel-lined walls and soaring ceilings with log beams. Enjoy chatting with friends in front of the fire here.

One look at the 125-foot-wide Cumberland Falls, and you’ll see why it’s called the “Niagara of the South.” When there’s a full moon, you can see a moonbow. This is the only place in the Western hemisphere to witness this rare natural phenomenon.
