Are you tired of us bragging about Buffalo yet? No? Good! There’s so much going on in our little city that could that we want to shout our Buffalove from the rooftops. But since it’s icy this time of year and that would just be obnoxious, we’ll stick with writing about it instead. Here are 9 reasons why Buffalo is the best city (and yes, we know we’re unbelievably biased).
- Architecture
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House - Facebook Every city has impressive buildings, but ours are the best. From Frank Lloyd Wright creations to amazing works of terra cotta, you can’t look around Buffalo without taking in the beauty of these eye-catchers!
- Culture
Albright-Knox Art Gallery - Facebook Buffalo wouldn’t be as great as it is without the people. We embrace every culture here and do it with love! Buffalo is the best city and we want to share it with everyone.
- Weather
Scott Kinmartin/Flickr Snow birds might not like all four seasons in Buffalo, but we personally think they’re lovely! Our mild summers, beautiful autumns, and even the snow make the 716 a beautiful place to be year-round!
- Medical advancements
Roswell Park Cancer Institute - Facebook The medical campus in Buffalo is a sight to behold. While it’s impressive from the outside, it’s even more amazing if you should need medical care.
- Growing restaurant scene
SEAR - Facebook We like our food here in Buffalo. While wings and beef on weck are always a good go-to, it’s nice to have a variety of restaurants available to enjoy. Lucky for us, Buffalo isn’t lacking in the restaurant scene!
- Support for startups
Bak USA - Facebook We were recently voted as one of the best cities for startups in the United States. 43 North, a competition built for startups, calls Buffalo home. If supporting dreams doesn’t make Buffalo the best city, we don’t know what does!
- Reasonable cost of living
Curtis Anderson - Flickr Current Buffalonians might give us some eye-rolls on this one, but anyone who has roamed away from the Queen City will attest to the fact that our cost of living is relatively low.
- Entertainment
Roey Ahram - Flickr It might not be Times Square or the Vegas strip, but Buffalo has plenty to offer for entertainment! Take in a Broadway show at Shea’s, watch a game at the stadium or arena, or enjoy live music at Town Ballroom. And those are just to name a few!
- The people
Buffalo’s Good Neighbors - Facebook We live up to our nickname of The City of Good Neighbors every chance we get. Whether it means putting winter items on trees downtown for the homeless to stay warm or simply holding the door for someone at the store, the people who live here are what make Buffalo the best city!
Can’t stop. Won’t stop. If you love Buffalo as much as we do, share your favorite values of our city in the comments below!
