Cleveland is a spectacular city worthy of celebration. We have a rich history leading into a bright future, and our good fortune is all thanks to the amazing people that call this region home. Why should Clevelanders be proud of their city? The real question is this: why wouldn’t we be proud?

The story goes that during the Civil War, a Clevelander named Joseph William Briggs was heartbroken to see women facing the cold of winter to trek to a post office to see if a husband or son in service had written. He was so moved that he began delivering mail directly to their homes. Soon, the entire city of Cleveland began home mail delivery, and eventually the practice was adopted by Congress. That is true heart.
