- Go on a swamp tour.

- Visit the Shreveport Aquarium.

You can take a canoe or a kayak around the lake to get up close and personal with some spectacular scenery, or you can always just take a drive down Rookery Road or take a leisurely stroll down one of the trails. - Visit EPIC.

- Take a drive down the Creole Nature Trail.

- Hold a baby gator.
Gator Chateau/Trip Advisor Gator Chateau fosters alligators until they are able to be released back into the wild, and a visit to this wonderful facility will give you a new respect for these creatures. You’ll even be able to hold a baby alligator! (100 Rue de l’ Acadie, Jennings, Louisiana 70546)
- Hike through the Kisatchie National Forest.

- Hike to the top of a mountain.
Wikimedia Driskill Mountain may only be 535 feet tall, but we take what we can get down here. You can easily hike to the summit in an afternoon, and the views will make you think you’re not in Louisiana anymore.
