Toto’s Tacoz Facebook The Oz Museum is full of pieces and displays from The Wizard of Oz books, movie, and musical, leading you through the world from a behind-the-scenes type view. Of course, some of us would rather skip the Oz hype, but there’s a lot to learn here that many of us don’t know! Of course, a stop at Toto’s Tacoz is a short walk away, and a delicious way to end your day in Wamego.

  1. Boot Hill, Kansas Teachers Hall of Fame, and the Famous Gunfighters Wax Museum (Dodge City)

TrishA4/TripAdvisor Boot Hill is Kansas’ very own slice of the west. There’s so much to explore here, especially when they have events going on. Of course, you can’t stop by boot hill without a visit to the Teachers Hall of Fame and the wax gunfighters, especially since they’re both in the same building! I will warn you though, the gunfighters are a bit creepy in wax form.

Steve Bittinger/Flickr Lindsborg, the sweet Swedish town we all know and love, has plenty of small businesses and shops to peruse while you explore the town and take photos of the Dala horses they’re so famous for. While you’re there, however, you should definitely stop by Coronado Heights and explore this miniature castle marking the spot where an explorer gave up his search for the seven cities of gold.
