It is no secret that Denverites prefer walking or biking over driving… but have you ever taken the time to just stroll around Denver without a set agenda? If you have not, you are in for a huge treat, as you are guaranteed to enjoy spending your day strolling these 6 iconic Denver streets:

1.) Larimer Street

Flickr/Geoff Livingston It is safe to say that Denver’s most historic block is also one of Denver’s most unforgettable streets! Located in downtown, Larimer Street features a number of special events, delicious restaurants, unique stores, and overall perfect ambiance for any Friday or Saturday night.

2.) Santa Fe

(If this is your first time visiting, make a point to attend a First Friday Art Walk, which comes complete with unique art and free hors d’oeuvres at most of the galleries.)

3.) Cherry Creek

4.) Antique Row

Denver’s Antique Row Facebook Located along South Broadway is the famed Antique Row; 7-city blocks that boast a whopping 100 merchants, restaurants, and other surprises that are sure to bring out the nostalgia in you.

5.) 16th Street Mall

The mall – which is a mile-long stretch for pedestrians only – is not only home to countless stores and restaurants, but also attractive tree-and-flower-lined streets and free transportation.

6.) Old South Gaylord

Old South Gaylord Street Facebook While it may not be as large and well-known as other streets, Old South Gaylord will always be my favorite because it is quiet, oozes charm, and boasts a close proximity to the nearby Washington Park (which are all big wins in my book).
