When you live in Buffalo, you come to expect a few things: people will always talk about your sports teams’ worst moments. Everyone associates your city with wings. And winter definitely feels like the longest season… but consider yourself lucky that not all winters are as long as others. No Buffalonian will ever forget this winter that never seemed to end.

If that doesn’t make you long for spring, we don’t know what would.
Curtis Anderson - Flickr Snow fell in Buffalo from mid-October through mid-May during the winter of ‘77. And while not all the snowfall resulted in nationally newsworthy events, to Buffalonians, we’re pretty certain by month seven, it all felt pretty dismal.
