The thing about stereotypes is that they’re kind of true. Not always, but often enough where many folks can relate. There are certainly some true stereotypes in VT that may be a little embarrassing, but also kind of true. Let’s call a spade a spade for a moment and have fun with these things that we can’t help but agree to.
- If it’s above freezing, shorts are perfectly acceptable.

- We can spot a flatlander from a mile away.

- We love our Maple Syrup so much that we’ll add it to just about anything.

- We don’t get snow days!

However, we’ll all certainly roll our eyes when we hear southern states closing schools for 2" of snow. That: We can all agree on, right?
- Vermonters, particularly rural Vermonters with deep roots, have an accent.

- We don’t like outsiders.

- Vermonters love their craft beer.

- We see someone we know wherever we go.

- We are farmers or at least know a farmer.

- Mud season is an actual season.
